November 8, 2016 – The OSCE Mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in cooperation with the Faculty of Criminology and Security Studies, University of Sarajevo, the Office of the OSCE in Albania and the OSCE Mission in Kosovo, Montenegro Gora, Serbia and Skopje, organized a conference on hate crimes in South East Europe.
Research papers on the subject of hate crimes written by authors coming from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Macedonia were presented at the conference. These research papers analyzed and discussed hate crimes through social, legal and security aspects. The work of the Coalition for Fighting against Hatred Prijedor, as well as the report on hate crimes in BiH in 2015 done by the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina, was presented during the conference.
The conference participants were experts and representatives of institutions, associations and organizations dealing with problems of hate crimes in South East Europe.
