The aim of the project is capacity building of professional associations of judges, prosecutors, lawyers and Ministry of Justice in BiH, in order to influence together on changes in the judiciary, as well as adoption of new legislative acts in BiH.
The project is implemented by the Association for Democratic Initiatives (ADI), in cooperation with Center for Human Rights, University of Sarajevo, and financial support provided by the UK Government.


The aims of the project will be realized through following project activities:
• Meetings with focus group composed by selected representatives of professional associations including judges, prosecutors, lawyers and Ministries that work on the level of BiH, RS and FBiH.

• Trainings focused on capacity building in three thematic fields: 1) importance of judicial reform and the role of professional associations; 2) information and communication technologies for legal professionals; 3) policymaking in judicial sector; 4) lobbying and advocacy. Selected representatives of professional associations including judges, prosecutors, lawyers and representatives of ministries who work on the level of BiH, RS, FBiH will attend the trainings.

• Other activities that will lead to the establishment of a strong network of actors in the process for judicial reform and strengthening capacities for more efficient participation of actors in decision-making processes at entity and state level.
The project aims to establish stronger links between professional associations and ministries to jointly influence the adoption of relevant laws and policies in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
