Association for Democratic Initiatives (ADI) Sarajevo will, from September 2016 until September 2017, implement a project titled “Characteristics and Significance of Situational Testing in a Process of Proving Discrimination”. The main aim of the project is to raise awareness of civil society organizations (CSOs) about importance of situational testing (ST) as a research method, as well as the method for proving discrimination.

ST is a new method used to prove onsite discrimination. This method is used in EU countries, and has produced good results.

Main activities of this project are: Making a ST manual for CSOs, two round tables on the presentation of the ST manual, as well as the importance of using ST by CSOs, three workshops about importance of ST for CSOs, ST simulation in controlled environment.

Project funds are provided by the US Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Open Society Fund (OSF) as part of a four-year project “Equality for All: Civil Society Coalition against Discrimination”, in order to support the active role of civil society in the fight against discrimination, and implementation of anti-discrimination legislative framework in BiH. Program activities are implemented by Mediacentar Sarajevo in cooperation with the Center for Social Research, Analitika, associations Rights for All (Prava za sve) and Vaša prava BiH.

Implementation period of the project: September 1, 2016 – August 31, 2017

The project is supported by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and Open Society Fund (OSF).
