A regional conference: Access to Information, Advice and Active Help in the Western Balkans and Turkey was held in Sarajevo from November 27 – 28, 2014. The conference was organized by the Association for Democratic Initiatives (ADI) and ECAS (European Citizens Action Service in Belgium).

The two-day conference was attended by 70 participants coming from leading public institutions as well as representatives of civil society, media and international organizations. The conference presented best practices in providing advice, information and legal assistance to the Western Balkans and Turkey, and open discussion on the topic of existing legislation and practice in the area of free legal aid in the region. The aim of the conference was to encourage greater cooperation and coordination of the activities of public institutions, civil society and the international community, in order to improve the exercise and protection of the rights of citizens in BiH.

The regional conference was held within the project “Triple A for citizens – access to information, advice and active help – Triple A” which is funded by the European Commission.

The conference was held with the technical support of the European Commission and Civil Rights Defenders.
