At the round table, which was held in Zenica on February 8, 2016, organized by the Center of Legal Assistance for Women Zenica presented the experience of NGOs, provision of information and free legal aid in BiH, in providing free legal aid to victims of discrimination, and the way of submitting collective lawsuits in the system of protection against discrimination. Participants of the round table were representatives of the Institution of Ombudsman, judiciary, social welfare centers, educational institutions, ministries of justice of Zenica-Doboj Canton, civil society organizations and the media. Representatives of association Vaša prava BiH and the Association for Democratic Initiatives (ADI) participated in the presentation and discussion on the topic of the role and position of NGOs in the system of free legal aid.
Center of Legal Assistance to Women (CPPZ) Zenica is a civil society organization that, since 1996, continuously provides free legal aid to women, with a focus on women survivors of domestic violence, socially disadvantaged women, women belonging to minority and marginalized groups, disabled women and other women whose rights are threatened or have been subjected to discrimination.
