In July, 2017, Association for Democratic Initiatives Sarajevo (ADI), in cooperation with the Transparency International Bosnia and Herzegovina, started implementing a project titled “Strengthening Public Trust in Prosecutorial System in BiH through Improving Transparency and Accountability”. Overall objective of the project is strengthening the Prosecution’s capacity to take a leading role in coordinating activities related to the implementation of activities from the Strategy for dealing with persons in contact with the Prosecutor’s Offices in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Specific objective of the project is to improve transparency of work, capacity, efficiency and credibility of the prosecution system in BiH through active inclusion of civil society organizations as a link between prosecutors’ offices and persons that contact with prosecutors’ offices in BiH and the public. Activities of the project are: making of motivation plan for citizens for communication with prosecutors’ offices in BiH, focus groups, making of a brochure for citizens, establishment of citizen’s forums with public institutions and civil society organizations, public forums, making of short documentary movie, and visits of high school students and university students to prosecutors’ offices in BiH.

Implementation period of the project: July 1, 2017 – October 31, 2018

The project is supported by the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council and Government of Switzerland.
