In the period August 30 – Septmebr 20, 2018, 12 public hearings were held in cooperation with prosecutor’s offices. Public forums were held in Travnik, East Sarajevo, Brčko, Tuzla, Mostar, Trebinje, Livno, Zenica, Doboj, Prijedor, Bihać and Goražde.
Representatives of prosecutor’s offices, local authorities and civil society organizations (CSOs) participated in the public forums. The aim of these forums was to enable citizens to have direct contact with prosecutor’s offices, thus improving two-way communication, increasing transparency of work and trust of citizens and CSOs in the work of prosecutor’s offices. Prosecutors have presented their achievements over the past years at public forums.
The public forums were organized as part of the project “Strengthening Public Trust in Prosecutorial System in BiH through Improving Transparency and Accountability”. The implementers of the activities were Transparency International in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in cooperation with the Association for Democratic Initiatives (ADI) Sarajevo.
The project is implemented by Transparency International in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Association for Democratic Initiatives (ADI) Sarajevo and Association of Expert Associates and Advisers in Courts and Prosecutors’ Offices as part of the project “Strengthening Public Trust in Prosecutorial System in BiH through Improving Transparency and Accountability” implemented by the HJPC with the support of the governments of Switzerland and Norway.
